I Can't Live Without...

Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is having an impromptu linky party this weekend entitled "20+ Products I Can't Live Without."  She's invited all of us to share what we can't live without also.

I've been trying to think of what I can't live without and honestly, my list isn't very exciting.  I'm thinking remote controls, ice makers, garage door and gate openers, and the like.  The common thread seems to be electronic devices that enable me to do the least amount of physical exertion as possible.  Several years ago my mother bought a battery-operated flour sifter for me.  It was a cute little gadget that I used until it finally wore out.  But I didn't replace it because, let's be honest here, does anyone REALLY need an electronic flour sifter?  I think not.
But I digress.  I hesitate to make a list of things I can't live without.  Let's not be too dramatic here; I think I can live without most things (except the dishwasher and central air conditioning.)  If I had to choose amongst the things that make my life easier, however, I would have to zero in on coffee and its accoutrements.

Although I don't have a fancy espresso machine like this, I do enjoy my Mr. Coffee.  It's my best friend every morning.

I love my milk steamer.  That froth adds just the right touch, especially when it's made with half & half.

For some reason, my coffee tastes better when I'm drinking it out of a Starbuck's mug...

with a biscotti (or two).

  1. Hi just found your blog. Its lovely. I love all that you love and am a big fan of Starbucks too. Just bought a steamer and hope to try it tomorrow morning.

    1. Hope your new steamer works. I love mine. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. What a lovely blog -- there is nothing like a really good cup of coffee! As well as a favorite mug to drink it out of!

    1. Martha - I couldn't agree more. I need my cuppa every morning or I'm no fun to be around. Thanks for the comment.

  3. We love our Nespresso machine.

  4. My coffe maker just died!
My husband bought a $10 one, literally,
from Walgreens or CVS drugstore just to get
us through until we have time to go get a
new one!!! Thanks for these inspirations!
